The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) is hosting the 12th  instalment of its Energy Talks on 8 November , 2023, from 11:00 to 12:30 CET (13:00-14:30 EAT) will explore the theme “From ACS to COP28: Unlocking Opportunities for a Synergetic Africa-EU Climate and Energy Future.” The webinar will facilitate a dialogue between African and European stakeholders in the lead up to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28), which will be held on 30 November – 12 December in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Africa Climate Summit provided a platform for exploring innovative solutions for attracting investments, enabling technology exchange, enhancing capabilities, and positioning African nations as pioneers in sustainable development and climate action. Leading African nations in the energy transition showcased their models, providing guidance to other countries seeking sustainable energy pathways. Significant billion-dollar pledges from countries like Germany, Denmark, and the UK, along with funds from the African Development Bank, underscored the commitment to combat climate change and climate adaptation. Moving ahead, Africa should continue to advocate for ambitious climate and energy results at COP28.
