Namibian Green Hydrogen Investment Forum Explores Africa-EU Collaboration to Advance Development on Both Continents

Thriving Political Dialogue

On 18 May, 2022, experts and senior executives across the hydrogen and fuel cells industry will meet in Paris for the Namibian Green Hydrogen Investment Forum.

They will have the opportunity to meet Namibian officials and stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities in the Namibian green hydrogen and ammonia sectors. The event aims to create business opportunities and knowledge exchange on the latest advancements in the field, and support growth in Namibian markets.

The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) will join a panel discussion to elaborate on how a Namibia-EU collaboration could be an ideal strategic partnership enabling a climate-neutral Europe. The AEEP’s Green Hydrogen Policy Brief and research paper assess the potential of green hydrogen to enable economic growth and job creation on and between the continents. They conclude that optimal outcomes would be reached if the green hydrogen development trajectory between the continents is anchored in Agenda 2063 and Agenda 2030.
