The 13th Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) Energy Talks focused on “Island Power: Charting Renewable Pathways for African Island States,” addressing energy challenges in AIS. The discussion highlighted African Union Commission’s (AUC) tailored program for sustainable energy infrastructure and collaboration between Africa and Europe. Panel discussions covered mobility integration, grid stability, and decarbonisation. Speakers also shared initiatives for net-zero electricity systems and emissions. Participants emphasised collaboration platforms, island exchanges, stakeholder engagement, and the role of island grids. They underscored tailored strategies, innovative technologies, collaborative planning, inclusivity, and international partnerships in AIS renewable pathways.
