The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) will host the 21st Energy Talks webinar on 5 November 2025, from 13:00 – 14:30 CET (14:00 – 15:30 EAT). Since its launch in November 2020, the AEEP Energy Talks series has provided a bimonthly platform for Africa-Europe energy dialogue, covering topics such as renewable hydrogen, solar energy, clean cooking, energy finance, and pathways to achieving SDG7.
Since the AU became a full member of the G20 group in 2023 – and especially during the South African presidency in 2025 – the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) Secretariat has supported African representation and contributions to the G20 Energy Transitions Working Group (ETWG).
The Second African Climate Summit (ACS2) was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 8–10 September 2025 and now serves as a strategic launchpad for the realisation of Africa’s clean energy and climate goals. This trajectory is set to continue through the upcoming Luanda Financing Summit (LFS), scheduled for 28–31 October, and the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), to be held from 10 –21 November in Brazil. Together, these three high-level events present a timely and coordinated opportunity to advance the continent’s sustainable development pathway.
The AEEP Energy Talks are a bimonthly webinar series uniting African and European stakeholders to discuss urgent energy priorities and foster cooperation toward a just, sustainable future. Past editions have explored topics from green hydrogen and industrial decarbonisation to scaling clean cooking solutions.
