The publication “AEEP Energy Access: Best Practices 2016” draws upon experiences from the private and public sector, as well as from NGOs and research institutions and showcases the latest innovations with a unique focus on 24 renewable energy projects in Africa.

This report’s aim is to provide an update of the AEEP’s benchmarks and to monitor progress in achieving the Partnership’s goals, while also pointing to directions for continued action.

The new edition of the Best Practices for Clean Energy Access in Africa prepared by the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) and the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) is a compilation of 20 case studies and business cases on access to energy and services successfully implemented by ARE members and partner organisations.
The aim of this report is to describe the AEEP’s efforts to set benchmarks and monitor progress in achieving those goals, and to point to directions for continued action.
