The eighth AEEP Energy Talks will take place on 6 December, 11:00 - 12:30 (CET). The webinar will explore the energy outcomes from COP27 and the opportunities they bring to recalibrate the energy partnership between Africa and Europe.
On 11 November the Africa Initiative on Renewable Energies (AREI), in cooperation with the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) hosted the event ‘How renewables in Africa support climate change and save the planet’. The AEEP's Head of Secretariat joined the panel and emphasised the synergistic collaboration between the international institutions and all other actors to drive forward a energy transition based on renewable energy solutions.
On 9 November the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) hosted a debate on financing SDG7 in Africa on the main stage of the SDG Pavilion. The speakers agreed that Africa is on track to achieve the SDG7. What is now required is to mobilise all stakeholders and accelerate efforts towards implementation of projects.
On 8 November 2022, the European Commission and the Africa-Europe Foundation organised the event 'Rolling-out the AEGEI: Accerlerating its implementation' at the COP27's EU Pavilion. The speakers discussed the innovative ways to implement the AEGEI.
