The specialised Power Sector Financing course aims to create a capable and experienced workforce which could be a major factor in unlocking further investment in the energy industry.

The 7th AEEP Energy Talks will take place on March 23rd, and will explore the outcomes of the EU-AU Summit on energy and discuss African and European priorities ahead of COP27. To discuss the road ahead, the upcoming AEEP Energy Talks will host representatives from the AU Commission and the EU Commission to address how the outcomes of the EU-AU Summit can inform African ambitions as we approach COP27.
The African Energy Commission (AFREC), with support from the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP), successfully conducted workshop trainings for a second batch of energy statistician durin November and December 2021. The cohort consisting of 32 energy experts from 25 African Union Member States will go on to lead trainings for other African energy experts at national and regional level, as well as provide coaching and mentoring to AFRECâs National Focal Points (NFPâs).
The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) is supporting the African Energy Commission (AFREC) to organise and event to teach trainers track and monitor national and regional energy data. The training programme, split into two workshops, aims to equip a pool of trainers with tools for analysing, monitoring and managing energy data.
The second virtual training on energy regulation provided by Power Futures Lab (PFL) and supported by the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) will kick off on 22 November. The AEEP is supporting PFL, a leading centre of excellence at the University of Cape Town, to deliver altogether three virtual trainings on energy regulation.
